Friends of HSTJ had a booth at the Rolando Street Fair on Sunday, March 29th!

March 27 Itchy Scratchy Clinic in Playas de Tijuana

Not only did HSTJ sterilize 52 animals in the month of March but also on March 27th, HSTJ conducted a street clinic at an elementary school in Playas where a health fair was being held, treating 69 dogs and 9 cats.

It was discovered that the children at this school frequently take their dogs with them to school and the animals stay in the "play yard" all morning, during the break the children play with them and share their lunch with the animals.

HSTJ's volunteer and board member Lety Coto gave a lecture to the children about how to care for their dogs, the importance of sterilization, and also about parasites and ticks and how to fight them.

This was a true testament to HSTJ's mission.

March 28th Adoption Event at Muttropolis Solana Beach

What an amazing day. The weather was warm and the sky could not have been clearer.

This was the second adoption event where we were featuring the dogs rescued from the hoarding case in Tijuana last month. We had the sweetest foursome of dogs that desperately needed loving, forever homes.

Benji, Lola, Paloma and Honey, were all ready and waiting to find there new families.

We found homes for all four rescues as well as two cats! What a success. Also, Orion, the male cocker mix and Bonita the grey tabby cat are being fostered here in San Diego until the next adoption event which will be April 11th at Muttropolis in La Jolla.

Thanks to everyone who made this day so wonderful, volunteers Tania, Joelle, Vicky, Nicole, Anna, Roxy, Dennis, Lety and Alex.
Also, thank you Muttropolis for hosting our adoption event!

On March 1st, HSTJ Attended the Doggie Street Festival in Liberty Station

On Sunday, March 1st, Friends of Humane Society de Tijuana had a booth at the 1st Annual Doggie Street Festival in Liberty Station. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and being the festival's 1st annual it was an amazing turnout! Thousands of people attended and brought their dogs, big and small.
In the afternoon the wind picked up and nearly blew HSTJ's tent away! It was pretty exciting, we had to go tentless for the remainder of the day. Thank you to all that visited our booth and for your generosity in donating to this worthy cause.
